Time for Rhyme

A nursery rhyme Board book, with a pamphlet explaining the importance of rhyming for reading readiness, is available to parents of each newborn baby born in Fairbanks.

Mini-Grants

Educators are given the opportunity to apply for grants to fund special projects in their schools and classrooms. Click here for this year's application. Due date is October 24, 2025, no exceptions.

School Bus Signs

Each year, a sign with a colorful picture and school bus number is constructed for each school bus in the district. These signs are placed in the windows of all school buses, so the children can easily identify their commuting buses. Theta Chapter has been providing the bus signs since 1977, and constructs one hundred fifty signs every year.

Golden Apple

Each year Theta Chapter members nominate education advocates for the Golden Apple Award. These nominees are involved in education and have made significant contributions in educating our youth.  Award Recipients

Scholarships

Scholarships are offered to high school seniors and university students. Click here for a list of previous scholarship recipients. Our 2026 Scholarship Application is ready.

Fellowship

Theta member participate in a variety of fellowship activities. One of our activities is a social outing. Theta members keep in contact with each other during the summers.
